Down to Earth Psychology

Compassionate Inclusive Therapy, Tailored to you

With Dr Jess Rayner | Clinical Psychologist • EMDR Therapist

Welcome

My name is Dr Jess Rayner, I’m the founder of Down to Earth Psychology and a registered Clinical Psychologist offering assessment and therapy in Cheltenham and online.

I have specialist experience working with anxiety, trauma, stress and burnout, depression, and low self-esteem. I’m particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent people (including autistic and ADHD individuals) and those living with long-term health conditions.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed or caught in difficult thoughts and emotions that affect their life, relationships, or work. My aim is to help you better understand what’s happening, feel more at ease and to reconnect with what matters to you. A big part of my approach to therapy focuses on bringing authenticity, non-judgement and genuine care - I understand it can be daunting coming to therapy, so I prioritise creating a warm and relaxed space.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, tailored to your needs and goals. Where helpful, I also integrate mind–body approaches that bring greater awareness of the connection between thoughts, emotions and the body and support the whole nervous system to heal.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide whether therapy might be helpful and if I’m the right therapist for you. You’re welcome to get in touch or book here.
